South Africa’s transformation is upon us in a way that Southern Africans have anticipated for decades since the achievement of independence from colonial rule.

In the same way that North America is starting to focus inward, institutions that provide the economic infrastructure in Africa are looking at internal processes and procedures.

Attending the Preliminary Report: Annual Survey Philanthropy in Higher Education, I was inspired by the attention given to topics such as comparative funding, transparency and staffing in universities.

Of course, I have so much more to learn.
